On 2 April 2024, The Akshaya Patra Foundation's momentous milestone of serving 4 billion meals under PM POSHAN was commemorated at a special event at the UN headquarters in New York. The event titled ‘Achievements in Food Security: India's Strides Towards Sustainable Development Goals' was organised by the Permanent Mission of India to the UN.
On 3 January, 2024, The Akshaya Patra Foundation's new centralised kitchen in Panvel, Maharashtra, was inaugurated by Shri Deepak Vasant Kesarkar - Cabinet Minister for School Education and Marathi Language, Government of Maharashtra, and MLA - Sawantwadi Constituency.

Akshaya Patra's new kitchen in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Governor of Jharkhand, Shri CP Radhakrishnan on 19 January 2024. It has the capacity to prepare over 1 lakh nutritious mid-day meals every day.
